Jazz Band

Please join me in congratulating our Jazz students on their Jazz MPA performances this past Friday. Jazz Combo A and our Jazz Ensemble earned superiors and our Jazz Combo B earned an excellent rating. Many in attendance could not believe that our Jazz program was only in its first year!

On March 18, 2015, both the Wind Ensemble and the Symphonic band attended MPA at Franklinton High School.  Both groups earned superiors with the Symphonic Band getting straight superiors (1’s) from all 4 judges. The Wind Ensemble for 3 Superiors (1’s) and 1 Excellent (2).

We are blessed and proud to have so many talented students in our bands!

Jazz Band at MCHS is an after school commitment and meets once a week during the spring semester.

They perform various forms of music and styles associated with jazz and will have at least one scheduled concert during the spring semester.
